National Preparedness Month 2008

ARE YOU READY?

September marks National Preparedness Month (NPM) 2008, a nationwide coordinated effort encouraging civilians to take simple steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses and communities. This nationwide effort is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Ready Campaign.
During the month, a wide variety of national, state and local organizations will highlight the importance of emergency preparedness and promote community involvement through a wide variety of events and activities.

We at WCARES are planning to participate in NPM at the local level by hosting an Emergency Preparedness Activity in September.
